TroKart Racing Karts

Vintage TroKart Racing Karts celebrates one of the pioneering names in British kart racing. The TroKart story began in 1959 when Peter Agg, a director of Trojan Limited, visited the United States and witnessed the explosive growth of the new sport of kart racing. Recognizing the potential of affordable, competitive motorsport in the United Kingdom, Agg returned to England determined to introduce karting to a new generation of British racers.

Trojan Limited, then the exclusive United Kingdom distributor for Clinton Engines, imported several American-built Simplex karts to study their design and quickly began developing its own British-built kart. Marketed as the TroKart, the company's first production models helped introduce organized kart racing to Britain, and an initial production run of hundreds of karts reflected the growing excitement surrounding the sport. These early TroKarts played an important role in establishing kart racing in the United Kingdom and helped lay the foundation for what would become one of the world's most successful karting nations.
