Our Story

Having been raised at the Whiteland Raceway throughout the 60's and early 70's by my father who actively served in the Chain Breakers Kart Club and was an IRP IKF 1970 Summer Nationals Enduro Champion, I went on to race enduros myself thru the 80’s and early 90’s along with my brother who became a WKA 1998 Stock Appearing Enduro National Champion racing enduros until his passing in 2007, and then having my son become a third-generation racer driving in the 2017 & 2018 Purdue Grand Prix, karting and the racing community has always been a big part of our lives.

Upon my father’s passing in 2017 I discovered an old box full of karting magazines from his racing days in the 50’s, 60's & early 70's.  After spending hours flipping thru the magazines many wonderful memories of all the tracks, races, karts, engines, suppliers, and familiar faces from the karting community all came racing back.  To stay connected to my late father and brother’s passion for karting I began reproducing iconic pieces of karting imagery and history as a hobby.  It was later suggested that these designs and reproductions should be made available in a variety of forms so others could enjoy reliving their karting memories or showing their trackside enthusiasm for whatever kart or engine brand they might be racing.

Since launching KRSS I have been fortunate enough to meet a lot of wonderful people, hear some great stories, and work on some interesting customer projects.  So, Kart Racers Speed Shop is committed to its karting heritage and providing kart racers and karting fans high quality gear & apparel featuring unique and retro designs that bring the "Glory Days" of karting back to life as well as illustrating today's hi-tech hi-speed karting scene.
